Ky lost her first tooth! It was the week after Christmas when Paul's family was visiting. I was sitting at the kitchen table playing games with the fam and Ky walked up and was biting on her pajamas. It always drives me crazy that she is constantly chewing on something so I asked her to take it out of her mouth and when she did she flipped her tooth out! I saw something fly and I thought her tooth broke, but sure enough she lost it! It was very exciting considering 2 of her cousins and her little friend Taylor have all lost their teeth. She was absolutely positive she was NEVER going to lose a single tooth. So the tooth fairy finally got to visit our house and left her a gold dollar just like her cousin Annie. Ironic huh? Anyway, I have to admit that as soon as it hit me that Ky's tooth fell out, I got a little sad. This was a huge step towards growing up! I hate it! As my aunt put it, "Woo-hoo and Boo-hoo." Very bitter sweet. The tooth right next to the one that fell out has also been very loose for the past few days, so Ky has been determined to try and pull that tooth out herself. I am pretty shocked and proud she is so brave because frankly, pulling your own tooth out gives me the jeebies. A few days ago, Ky woke up and showed us her tooth and because she has been pulling on it so much, the tooth was literally sideways. Paul asked to see it and asked Ky if he could wiggle it. The next thing I know, Ky says "Ow Dad!" And Paul had pulled it out! Now she has 2 gold dollars! As a side note, Ky has decided that the tooth fairy's name is Azora! What?! Too funny!
