June/July 2011-2012

Father's Day 2012:
For any special occasion involving gift giving my girls love to either pick trinkets out at the dollar store or make something homemade.
I love this little moment they are having
Ky's handmade creation:initials for best dad and my biased opinion he really is!
Could Ky's smile be any cuter?! I don't think so!
I absolutely LOVE these two pictures. They make my heart smile.

See those little hand prints on that shirt? Those are the beloved prints of my 3 adorable kiddos and they were thrilled to make that for their daddy.

Paul decided in the Spring of 2011 to take up running.  So  we thought it would be fun to take the girls for a short little excursion to Bear Lake where Paul was running in his 1st 10K. We left Strat home with Grandma and it was fun to just spend time with the 4 of us. Paul did a great job in the race, it was decent weather and we got a steal of a deal on a sweet condo! It was a fun little weekend!

One afternoon we took the girls to a tiny section of beach and there was a little stream running through it. While we were busy building sand castles and enjoying the sun, along comes a fish swimming upstream. Kylie decides to try and catch it and catch it she did with her own bare hands! Can you see the look of utter shock on her face? All the kids around were super jealous and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to do the same.

So excited!

This was such a classic pict I couldn't resist

It was serious business building these castles and she had her game face on all day

What a cute bunch of kids if I do say so myself!

June of 2012 Paul ran a half marathon at Bear Lake, I ran the 10K and Paul's brother Ryan ran the 5K. We invited Paul's family along with my Mom and Ali. Again, we made a little vaca out of it and it was so fun!

Doing some cave exploration with Papa and Grandma and cousins

Once again playing on the beach and once again and I couldn't resist.
Daddy and Strat building their own version of sand castles
Playing on the toys with Papa at the local park

I just thought this tornado cloud in the background was cool so I made the girls stop and strike a  pose.
One of Strat's most favorite past times-throwing rocks
These were our cheerleaders

Then a few weeks later we went back to Bear Lake but this time it had nothing to do with running. Cousin Annie celebrated her 9th Bday there and invited all of us to come along.

The first night we were there a pretty strong storm rolled in and left it's mark on the campsites. It quickly cleared out a lot of campers and luckily didn't soak or destroy any of our stuff.

The next day another less destructive storm rolled through and so we sat in the tent and played some games with the girls. Sadie is happily playing on Paul's phone while Ky is bored as can be.

Kicking it around the campfire

The little froggy friends the kids all collected and kept hostage for about a day

Paul's youngest brother Brett was married to Jenny down in Salt Lake in June 2011. Their reception was at a beautiful indoor garden which my girls thought was pretty magical!
All the cousins (minus Strat-he was sleeping) with the newlyweds

Kylie and cutie cousin Sam
Paul's Grandmas (Grandma Putnam on left and Grandma Nigbur on right)
Shortly after Brett's wedding, the girls and I took a short trip with my mom down to St. George to the Tuacahn . It is a beautiful outdoor theater and they put on some pretty amazing shows!

We got to see the Little Mermaid. The girls were mesmerized!

4th of July 2011
So darn kissable-however allergic to the sunscreen which made his eyes all red
Patriotic and cute as can be at the parade
Cooling off in the afternoon
Playing with water guns
Sparklers-my children's fav
Watching our own firework show
Pretty impressive huh?

4th of July 2012
This year the girls were in a little cheer class for the summer so they got to march and cheer in the parade. Pretty exciting and my girls loved every single minute! The parade route was almost 3 miles long and Ky marched the whole thing. Sadie made it about half way through and then rode in the snazzy boat the rest of the way.
I'm loving their little potato sack cheer skirts!
The girls were so excited to get going-the girl next to them? Not so much I guess.
Their cheer class. The lady on the far right is their dance teacher Jill. She is so much fun and super spunky. Not very many people have as much energy as my mom but Jill sure does. The girl on the left is the cheer teacher Kristen.
Showing his American pride-he loved the parade and all the noise
Playing with bubbles at the river waiting for fireworks to begin
Completely mesmerized by the fireworks
Grams and the kiddos up way past their bedtime. Can you tell Sadie is tired?

For a few years now we have been going to Lagoon with Paul's family. Here are some picts of the last few visits...

Lagoon 2011
I love the look of awe on her face
So excited to be here
Ky and cousin Katie
Papa is loving it-Sadie not so much
Cousin Annie and Ky on the water slide ride. Ky enjoyed it much more than Sadie.

Goodbye till next year...

Lagoon 2012

Kylie went on the little kiddy rides with Sadie to be nice but she looooves the super fast roller coasters. A few of her fav are the spider, the big white roller coaster and wicked

One of Sadie's favorite rides
Another fav-especially with her cousin Sam and Addison
