52 weeks-week 13,14 and 15

Wow am I a slacker or what! I can't believe how behind I have gotten! To catch up I am obviously combining 3 weeks in 1. Week 13 and 14 go hand in hand. During week 13 was General Conference and my wonderful in-laws came up, so I count that as my #14. Now I will tell you why. I love, love, love conference weekend. Ever since I had children, I seem to appreciate it and look forward to it more every year. (Maybe it's because I know I won't have to fight them in church! HA!) Seriously though, I feel so blessed to be part of a church that gets to hear from such wise and beloved church leaders twice a year. I always feel so refreshed and optimistic after general conference. It was also so great to have Dave and Debbie come up and visit. I feel so fortunate to have such great in-laws. I couldn't ask for more supportive and loving family. My #15 also has to do with my father in law Dave. Last week our basement flooded and in the midst of all the chaos, Paul decided to call his Dad. Because Dave is so dang smart, he gave Paul instructions of what to do and in turn probably saved us having to replace our carpeting, sheet rock and the wood floor in the office. The restoration company was so impressed how thorough Paul was and I think he owes that all to his Dad. Dave is a perfectionist and taught his son well. So because of Dave's wisdom and Paul's speed, the brunt of the crisis was averted.
