New Adventures

The girls have begun their after school activities. Sadie started her first year in dance and she absolutely loves it! I was a little nervous she was going to be really shy and not want to stay but the first day she was so ready to go and and was all smiles. Ky is also in dance again and they both are taking from the same teacher Ms. Kortney. We found this teacher last year when she started doing a dance program at Ky's school. I love her and so do my girls. She is so energetic and great with kids. Her choreography is so age appropriate and adorable. Each recital they do 4-5 little dances and she provides all the costumes.

Ky also wanted to try karate this year. One day she just randomly mentions this to me and I was a little surprised to say the least. I explained what little I know of karate told her we would go watch one of the classes thinking she would probably change her mind. When we got there, much to my surprise, there were quite a few little girls in the class and the teacher immediately asked her if she wanted to try it out. She agreed and got on a little uniform and the rest is history. She really loves it and last week when I picked her up she had this huge smile on her face and was holding this board broken in two. I asked her what it was from and she said very proudly, "I broke this with my hand!" Again, I was a little surprised, this was only her 3rd class! She was so excited to get home to show her Dad and wanted to take it to school the next day to show her class. I love that she was confident and willing to try something totally new. I don't know if it will last longer than this year but you gotta love her enthusiasm!
