52 weeks down!

Well, with the end of 2009, comes the end of my 52 week project. As I was looking back over the blessings I wrote this past year, it really has made me realize how blessed I am and I am happy I stuck with this project. So here's the last of them...
1.Modern medicine-Sadie's antibiotics and MRI's. It's been almost a year since Sadie's UTI scare and so we had to go have another VCUG done. Not fun, but the prognosis is better. She still has to be on antibiotics for another year, but the doc says things are looking up.
2.My families health. I know I've mentioned this before, but I think it's worth mentioning again. It seems like over the past year many people I know have and are still having to deal with some very serious health issues. I am sooooo grateful my little family is healthy! This is a blessing I try really hard to never take for granted.
3.The love and support my family gives my girls in their activities. December was crazy busy with Ky's activities and so many of my family come and see all her little shows. It means so much to her and I'm so glad my family loves them so much!
4.My dad's yearly supply of food storage. Every year for Christmas my dad and step-mom give us endless amounts of food to restock our food storage. I hate to admit it, but our food storage would be pathetic without them! Thanks Dad and Marie!
5.The talents of family and friends who inspire me. I am blessed to have so many people in my life that are such great mom's, wives, friends, and just plain talented. I get so many ideas from them and I'm grateful God blessed me to have these people in my life so I can benefit from all their amazing capabilities.
6.Joys of Christmas. I never knew how much fun holidays could be until I had kids. I took my girls to Toys r' Us before Christmas so they could show me their wish list. From the moment we walked in, their eyes just lit up and just watching them look at all the stuff was almost as much fun as watching them open the gifts! The pure joy and innocence of childhood is priceless!
7.Seeing Sadie love santa to pieces. For some reason this year, Sadie was enamored with Santa. She just could not get enough of him. She got to sit on his lap 3 different times this year and she loved every minute of it!
8. The special needs primary program. Every year my sister Ali participates in this program and to see all of these beautiful souls singing about Christ's birth and the joy of this time of year is almost more than I can handle! The Christmas season would not be complete without this amazing program!
9.The wonderful people who help with programs like this. All Ali's life, she has been blessed to know truly self-less people who give so much of themselves to better the lives of the special needs.
10.Ky's politeness and thoughtfulness. Quite often I will catch Ky at the playground or playing with her sister being so patient and considerate. I watch as she allows other kids to get in front of her in line or how she plays so great with Sadie. It's times like these that I think-wow! How did I get so lucky?! I truly have great kids!
11. We have a great accountant! Seriously. I always knew my mom was talented but until we bought the business and have needed her help on nearly a daily basis, I never knew what a gem we had! I am so grateful we have her! Could you imagine our accounting bill without her?!
12.The new year and it's freshness! Though I am truly not a fan of winter, I do love the idea of a fresh start every January. I am a goal setter and for some freaky reason, it gives me great satisfaction to sit down every new year and write down my goals. Do I usually obtain these goals-heck no! But it's always fun to try!

So that's it! 52 weeks completed! Even though I won't be doing this project again in my lifetime, I do hope I can keep up the awareness of how truly blessed I am! Happy 2010!
