Ode to the great I.P.
Island Park is one of those places that conjures up alot of great memories for those who have had the privilege of visiting it. It certainly does for me. Back in the early 90's, my mom and James built a quaint little cabin nestled in the woods. Now days, it's more like a quaint little cabin in a neighborhood, none the less, it's a fantastic little get away. I love this cabin for so many reasons. Whenever I go there, no matter how long it's been, it's always a little like coming home. Many winters were spent up there with my mom, James, Ali and I. We went snowmobiling, ate endless amounts of spaghetti and relaxed in the hot tub with a bowl of floating grapes. (Don't ask!) Recent memories have also been made with the Nigbur family as well. We've had many adventures including floating the river by Mack's Inn, (which I recommend you only do if you have thoroughly checked the weather report)building snow castles and seeing how many snowmobiles we can wreck. It's sort of become an annual tradition to try and go up during Christmas break and sometime during the summer. In fact, just this past summer, Dave, Ryan and Paul spent about a week up there giving the humble abode a much needed face lift. So, for a few weekends this past month, my mom, Ali, Paul, the girls and I have ventured up there to enjoy the cabin's fantastic new look. Good work boys! Here are some of the new memories added to the already abundant bank of good times there at the cabin...
